Today we attended the blessing of Jason and Allison's daughter, Ruby. It was a wonderful experience. Afterwards we all went to Grandma Boo's for a brunch. There was much fruit, egg stuff, cookies and pastries. A wonderful spread, I must say. Below is the detail on a duck cookie. Quack.
And here's the whole cookie spread, followed by the fruit conglomeration.
Here we have grandma with the star of the festivities
.
Outside relaxing we have D enjoying the splendid weather. A triumph!
There have been two casualties. The lemon cukes went south due to poor placement. They were replaced after modifications were made to the box. There was also a modification done to help out the tomatillo. It was screaming for more dirt.
It is going to get a little crowded in there before all is said and done. It should not affect the outcome, if past experience is any indication.

Your garden looks FABULOUS!! I have garden envy. Ours froze to the nubbins during that bad week - but some of the stems are growing little biddy leaves. Doesn't give too much playzure though.
The food at the baby blessing looked too beautiful to eat. It would have been hard to be the first one to take something and ruin the symmetry- or not.

I could have easily gone for one of those cookies! Yum! Your garden looks great. We lost all of our tomatoes and peppers (but one of each) to that last snow fall and are fruit trees are empty. Nothing made it through those cold days!
It all looks good to us, the food and the grow boxes.
Love the pictures. Especially the one of Boo and Ruby! It was fun to see you all--hopefully, it we will get together again soon!
China party at my house on July 10th. Lots of out of towners are also coming. We hope you will be able to come.
We are headed out of town next week but let's get you guys out for a bbq or something when we're back (like beginning of July)...
Those cookies looked yummy! Hey we have great news. We are picking up our son next week! Also moving to a private blog. I'll send you an invite if you would like one:)
Lookin' good in the neighborhood!!! And so is that display of fruit and cookies. How can anyone eat and destroy the presentation?
Okay, I wrote that without reading Barbie's comment and now I read it. I think we are related.
Brass-monkey mornings. I have to remember that one.
I've been asking myself for YEARS "If a tomatillo screams in a garden, will anyone hear it?" And you've answered that question. Thank you for always being there for me!
